Michael has over 14 years experience as a woodcarver and over 16
years experience as a teacher and trainer. He has taught carving classes in
Richmond, Virginia; Roanoke, Virginia; and Montgomery, Alabama.
Michael started carving kerchief
slides for the Boy Scouts while working as an adult Scout leader. Now he carves Santa
Claus, WeeFolk, and other folk characters. He has studied under Tom Wolfe, Ron
Ransom, and Lee Perkins. He has
shown, demonstrated, and taught in
Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, and North Carolina.
Professionally, he is employed as a
technical writer.
